Us
As one of our favourite songs by Manel says (allow us this small change): may the years come, calm has found us here. That is what we want to say out loud, accompanied by Our Lady of Montserrat. That is what we want to celebrate and give thanks for, hand in hand with you and in your company: that we love each other, celebrate each other and make each other happy. We are waiting for you. Thank you for being there.
A place with a thousand years of history
Montserrat
The monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat was founded in 1025 by Abbot Oliba, in the heart of a mountain that was already a place of hermitage and devotion. Over the centuries it became one of Catalonia’s great spiritual and cultural centres, closely linked to the veneration of Our Lady of Montserrat, La Moreneta. After periods of splendour, destruction and rebirth, it remains today a symbol of faith, culture and identity, and home to the Escolania, one of the oldest music schools in Europe.

If you are planning to come by car, we recommend arriving early, around 11:00, as Montserrat car park fills up quite quickly at weekends. If it is full, you can park for free at the Montserrat Rack Railway station or at the Montserrat Cable Car station and go up using those services.
